棋牌是棋类和牌类娱乐项目的总称，包括中国象棋、围棋、国际象棋、蒙古象棋、五子棋、跳棋、国际跳棋（已列入首届世界智力运动会项目）、军棋、桥牌、扑克、麻将等等诸多传统或新兴娱乐项目。棋牌是十分有趣味的娱乐活动，很多人为此废寝忘食，这种过度沉迷于其中的做法是极不健康的。
