Well, I find taking good notes an essential skill that a student must possess.

First of all, it can save you a lot of time. Good notes can tell you what s important in a textbook; therefore, instead of reading dozens of pages of a textbook, which usually takes up a lot of time, it' s much more efficient to justread your notes.
